Kathleen Dorsey Bellow, D.Min.
Dr. Kathleen Dorsey Bellow served as principal of Sacred Heart/Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her professional experience represents commitments to various disciplines, including small business management, pastoral ministry and community development. Dr. Bellow is a long-time parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She is a faculty member of Xavier University of Louisiana’s Institute for Black Catholic Studies. Currently, Dr. Bellow is the Convener of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium.
Dr. Bellow completed her Bachelors of Arts in Spanish at Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, her Master’s in Business Administration at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and her Master’s in Theology at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana. In May 2005, she received her Doctorate of Ministry degree in Liturgical Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Bellow, a native of Baltimore is married to Paul Louis Bellow; they have one son.
