Dr. Gibson joined the Rhodes College Department of English in 2012 after earning his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and completing his tenure as the Thurgood Marshall Fellow of African and African American Studies at Dartmouth College. His teaching and research interests include African American literature, Male Studies, Black Popular Culture and Literary/Cultural Theory.
